There are certain reasons why out of all the mmo’s I have ever played Lotro is the one I will always go back to, this is the community! yes other mmo’s have thriving communities which are probably just as good but there is something special about Lotro’s anyone who has been to Rivendell on and seen all the elves come together to share stories will know what I mean.
This is just one of the many examples there are in the game of a great community. A little while ago I was lucky enough to tag along to a fellowship walk, now this for people who don’t know are walks with various people in which you try to do the same walk the fellowship in the books go on.
The long walk of the fellowship
As you can see from the pictures there were a lot of people joining in on this day!
The fellowship walk was hosted by casualstrolltomordor.com in an aide to raise money for charity… now I cant rember the exact amount of money they raised but it was ALOT! Events like these show just how good the community can be not only were two individuals good enough to create an event to raise so much money for charity but the amount of people who donated was inspiring!
It was an event for everyone even the lower levels as they were protected by the higher levels from certain nasty critters.
